Next Generation of Leaders Speech
This is a moment in history that we have been searching for –as our country celebrated its Independence Day; where it allowed us to create the unity we seek. Yet, with all of the great achievements –there's now sense of urgency for all those that were lost. We have come so far, and fell so hard. We the people created this mess of forgotten soldiers by closing the door on others.
During these last two years something has brought unity and hope into the people. A spirit has brought more life into the presence of our well being in life. In the grassroots movement: a movement that has allowed the people to have their voice. As a next generation leader, who's brought unsound wisdom and heart for education in an unconventional way—a way that presided with a title taken not given. During the campaign in Barack Obama's Talk, he said: “I'm bringing the next generation’s leader, and together we can change politics. A type of leader that knows change comes from the bottom up, as leadership has no price tags, and the people shall follow.”
As the Next Generations Leader: I made a Pledge to lead for you. Too, many of the celebrities that we call leaders haven't lived up to the characteristics they shout. They haven't opened the doors to the youth, and allowed the circulation of green to undermine the hardships of those left behind.
As the next generation leader, it's time to make a calling on programs that hasn't placed a dent in the hardships of being poor. How more minority men are finding themselves locked out, and searching for a leader that can challenge all races? Why! The NAACP, hasn't been around to groom this new branch of leaders. They've been empowered by the growth of green to help the falling men. They've been so much about African American rights, in to a term it made us the outsiders. The vibe of me against the world closed our eyes to the truth. Which is: We as in minorities Got Lazy and satisfied. We train our young to be poor, and hate on the one trying because we haven't made our slips grow.
As a next generation leader, I will not blame failure on the other race—instead I want to work hard on trying to open your eyes to the life of reality—a reality that has dimmed because we are at mist within ourselves. The accepted view of failure on goals will not happen with the Next Generation of Leaders!
As a Next Generation Leader, my goals are your goals. I see that if people are not working too achieve unity—how can we bring change to a divided country. As the next Generation’s Leader, I need you—to help me lead. You make your leaders what they are today, and I need you! Like the Victors of the past to the renaissance of the soldiers fighting for tomorrow—leaders are spoken on you. As we remember the markings of all our minority leaders in battle. They all believed in unity as a forum of leading for a cause. As I stand on this platform remembering the hardships of Malcolm X. Shabazz; or the triumphs in a dream for Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. As this country is said to be built on roads and railroads—in the legacy of Harriet Tubman, makes our walks of life a historian’s journey on leadership. We as freedom crafters, and journalist created a new line of journalism—where, many of our trade writers in the Minority Community still focus on the traditional landscapes in writing structured by Frederick Douglass.
The people of today are tired of the hate consumed in the history of yesterday. As they see old school leadership in a low budget movement that starts rallies for the people. We are moving on a time were unconventional politics comes and brings back historical politic juncture in knowing your officials running for office.
In a moment waiting for these times, in a time looking for these causes –brings leadership. A type of leadership that shows the way, when the tunnel is too dark! We are in search of the spirit to move us out of this wall. What we need in this country is unity, and hoping someone too create this movement for change to fail, isn't in the best interest of the people! It's the people who graced faith in our candidacy as leaders, to come together in hopes America Can be that great nation. A nation where if we stand United and climb the hill tops on every mountain side: not only will freedom ring—yet, the words unity shall sing.
The halls where laws are written, spirits are born, and Hope is grown. Grown in a way that allows the people to see: We can make! We may not agree, and we may battle in the court rooms—yet, my heart is still stain on your spirit.
My movement on prosperity is the peace searching for a united hand shake. In a time where the people are begging for real leadership and not the bickering on the gamesmanship we placed in politics—to lead us out of times too desperate to despair even despite the heart aches in pain. A type of pain that we haven't seen since the 1860--the years of filler-buster and divided Houses!
Political Men strong-arming the people: Hoping the other party would fail. Which lead to the slippery slopes as America was upstream by the outsiders!
As the venture and light we as people see can come. The difference between walking the path, and knowing the path is seeing the path. As leaders, crafters, scholars and soldiers fighting for solidarity—where pretenders cry for antimony! It's the unsung men and women willing to fight the burdens--whom are ready for that vibe to lead. Real leaders won't cry or take spotlight from the eyes of the beholder. A real leader will let the light of his followers shine. As the song sings: "Bright Lights/ Candle Lights/ I'm gonna Let it shine; Oh yea/ This little light of mine/ I'm gonna let it shine/ let it shine; Oh Yea."
It's the path of the chosen leader who will crawl that battle, will knock on that door--fight for that voice; plus allow your face to be seen. It's that same spirit of hope, that will to craft dreams, and thy willingness to prepare. Prepare in a way that has a title taken, not given—as it's given in a away where a name was called. As I stand on this stage, and look at those faces—I see the vibe of a star shining so bright. A dream willing to shine, as that little light finds it's shine. And I'm going to let it shine.
As the Next Generation's Leader, it's your light that makes my star shine so bright. Your dreams that makes my light fight to lead and protect your rights, and shine all night. You are the very same dreams I am trying to protect, your future is that passion I am willing to fight for—as your education is the key to give my star that fighting light, to shine so bright.
As a Next Generation's Leader, you can lead with me, where the silver is stained and the roads are plain, as the fighters are graced. Education, is a key to achieving the goals we set, the lights we start in our dreams. During Barack Obama's path to presidency, he opened doors for this generation, and generation (X) to see: The Next Generation's Leader. Which is You! You make your leaders what they are today, as the victors of the past--plus the renaissance of the soldiers fighting for tomorrow, leaves education a proven point on leading the next generation. Money, power, and any material phase we place in the naked eye, will not; can not, place a burden on the pursuit of an education. As you see your dreams, and have that voice or vision to lead.
It's that will to prepare, and a background in Education, that can take a star that's so far away shine. Shine so bright; where it allows your light to shine, and shine so bright that leaders start to follow.
A true leader will never take the spotlight of his followers' star, but bring that dream to light. I am here to show you that change can come, as we seen a man from a diverse back ground and have dark pigment in his skin become president of the United States. That's the star who shines so bright, plus a dream that can be achieved--as hope brought this star to your eyes, and shined it so bright.
I made a pledge to be this leader for the next generation. And I need you, you make your leaders what they are today. So I ask you to join me, as the young and the old--the poor and the rich come to a common ground, in Washington DC. I am going to march in DC on July, 11. This trip will be my first trip to where laws are written, stars try to shine, and dreams are created. Maybe not! Yet, it's the capital of this great country called The United States of America, and it's where I will try and shine my star--in hopes that you my pledge believers, and non-believers; see and shine with me.
As we see the burdens of the next generation of leaders, it will be unity that makes us for the people. As Republicans, Democrats, independent brings unity to our democracy.
With the terms of out with the old ideas of division, and in with the new on ideas, hope—a leadership that hasn't ever been seen before.
I'm part of the generation that says we get it. I'm ready to tackle those hardships, ready to take those challenges and place you, the people on my shoulders. Ready to lead and not to deceive with a block by block—brick by brick, in search of hope!
I made a pledge to give people a voice, and a vision others haven't been able too see. People have become so inspired by my candidacy that they have asked me to back and campaign for someone who has a chance at winning. Yet, they don't share my ideas; have my vision of changing the nature of politics. They're not for responsible government as they're more pressed on keeping politics the same—while, adding on to their legacy. So have told me to give up because my first event ever was a bust!
That only made me schedule more events, takes my act directly to the people. Sit in on more briefings, and get more politically active; as I strive for that force and voice to bring fundamental change. A type of fundamental change that can stipulate politically fundamental change on how government treats its people! Where the saying is give to the poor, and allow them to grow—so, the rich can invest makes this country a prosperous entity that entitles prosperity.
